Enjoy a lazy day floating down a scenic tree-lined river, where you have the option of renting a canoe, kayak, raft, or tube. Take your pick of the scenic Manistee, Boardman, or Platte rivers to float your way into the beauty and serenity of Northern Michigan’s outdoors.

Don’t forget to visit the unique shopping opportunities offered in the Grand Traverse Area. The Traverse City area is the shopping Mecca of Northern Michigan. Whether you prefer quaint mom-and-pop shops or the large chain stores, the Traverse City area has great shopping from antique shops, county stores, specialty shops to store for clothing, and the great outdoors.
Drive-In Movie Theater:
Turn back the clock at a 50’s style drive-in movie theater. Always playing a double-feature, always with a rating of PG-13 or less, it’s fun for the whole family. You are sure to appreciate the massive food selection at the concession building too! With the closing of so many of the drive-ins throughout the county, it could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Boat and Jet Ski Rentals:
Rent a boat or Jet Ski and play in the waves of one of Traverse City’s two beautifully majestic bays. Or charter a fishing boat and bring home some great fishing tales that are sure to grow with time.
Hiking, Biking, and In-Line Skating Trails:
The Traverse City area is home to more than 20 different trails, perfect for walking, riding a bike, or rollerblading. Didn’t bring a bike, no problem bike rentals are available at many local businesses.
